Bitcoin price is dropping, which means it’s time to start investing.

The controversial cryptocurrency has drawn much attention over the past weeks, hitting US$41,962 in an all-time high. After an almost 300% surge in 2020, we saw a market correction, with its price dropping to US$30,500.

So, how do you start investing in cryptocurrency?

e-Pocket allows both individuals and businesses to trade on its high liquidity platform, allowing orders to be placed within seconds, at the best price every time.

Sign up to e-Pocket

Signing up to e-Pocket requires some personal and contact details such as your name, email address and residential address.

When logging into your e-Pocket account, you will receive a one-time pin (OTP) for 2-Factor Authentication to your allocated mobile number as part of the e-Pocket security process. It is vital that you take note of your public key once in the trading wallet.

Loading money to your e-Pocket Wallet

Once you have signed up, you will access your e-Pocket Wallet, which is for your fiat money management. Funds in the e-Pocket Wallet will be displayed in your native currency.

From this Wallet, you can deposit, withdraw and transfer funds to and from your bank account. You are also able to upload your credit/debit cards on here. Currently, POLi Pay is available to deposit and withdraw funds from any bank accounts you own.

Once you have deposited your fiat money into the e-Pocket Wallet, you can now click “Start Trading”. This button will take you to the e-Pocket Exchange web page. Click “Get Started” to move to the trading wallet.

Depositing to your e-Pocket Trading Wallet

e-Pocket's new trading platform is a top-of-the-art user-friendly platform to take your first step in cryptocurrency trading. Once you have accessed your trading platform, you will find the "Wallet" button in the navigation bar's top right hand. In the Wallet, you can see your cryptocurrency balances and fiat money that is available to trade.

From the fiat section of the wallet function, click "Deposit". Here you will see a text input box. Below the input box, you will see "Available for Deposit". The number shown below the text input box is the amount in your e-Pocket Wallet, converted into USD. Any amount you enter into the text box is automatically in USD.

Once fiat money is loaded into your e-Pocket Wallet, you can deposit it directly into the e-Pocket trading wallet. Doing so will automatically convert your fiat money from your native currency to USD. USD is a currency that is universally used for trading in the cryptocurrency world.

Once your money is converted into USD, you can trade directly with Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin or e-Pocket's cryptocurrency – EPT.

Trading with e-Pocket

This is the fun part. You can choose any number of cryptocurrencies to buy. All you need to do is select which cryptocurrency you would like to buy, for argument's sake, we'll trade Bitcoin. Select BTC/USD and enter the amount of Bitcoin you would like to buy.

The calculator will automatically calculate how much Bitcoin you would like to buy converts to in USD. If I have US$200 in my account, calculating today's price ($35,505), I will be able to buy 0.0055 of a Bitcoin. Mining fees are additional, so it's best to purchase below the total amount of USD available to trade.

If you would like to trade another cryptocurrency, click the "Select Market" button and choose any of the cryptocurrencies that directly convert to USD (e.g., BCH/USD, ETH/USD, LTC/USD). The process is the same for all currencies.

Once you have decided on an amount to buy, all you need to click is "Place Buy Order", and you have now created a cryptocurrency portfolio with e-Pocket! Now all you need to do is sit and wait for your profits to increase, or you can start placing buy and sell orders, depending on the price of the cryptocurrency you have invested in.
